MCS Heat Pump Installations in Ramsgate

Heat pump systems are a relatively new technology in the UK, but there were developed in Scandinavia where almost all new-build properties have an air source heat pump.  This tried and tested technology is an ideal replacement for your current central heating system, or if your property doesn’t currently have central heating installing either an air source heat pump or ground source heat pump is an environmental friendly choice that can save you money in the long run.

There are two main types of MCS heat pumps available in Ramsgate.  Ground source heat pumps extract heat from the ground through many meters of coils that are installed beneath the surface.  As you would imagine, air source heat pumps take warmth from the air to generate heat.  The technology in heat pump systems is very similar to that in refrigerators but in reverse.  Both types of heat pumps can be used to heat your home and provide hot water.  They work best in conjunction with underfloor heating, however your existing radiators can be used.  It’s also possible to have an air source heat pump that does not connect to your central heating system but pumps out hot air into your home for space heating.  These air-to-air systems can often be reversed in summer to provide cool air.
