MCS Heat Pumps in Cranleigh
Are you looking for MCS heat pump installation in Cranleigh? You have come to the right place. The Reina Group’s heat pumps are approved by the Microgeneration Certification Scheme (MCS), meaning they are of the highest quality. It also means each of our customers have the ultimate protection when buying any of our heat pumps.
What kind of heat pumps do we have to offer?
We have two types of MCS heat pumps available. These are air source and ground source. They both operate using natural, renewable energy in order to produce heat.
Air source heat pumps work by extracting heat from the air. The air to water heat pump system then uses this warm air to create hot water to circulate into your home’s wet central heating system. This works in a similar way to a refrigerator, but in reverse.
Ground source heat pumps operate by extracting heat from the ground. This is done via pipes, which are laid either vertically in boreholes, or horizontally in trenches. Ground source heat pumps also provide space heating and hot water, via your existing wet central heating system.
There is a second type of ground source heat pump, which is called an ‘open loop’ system. Instead of warmth from the ground heating fluid contained within pipes, actual warmed ground water is piped out of the ground and up to the heat pump mechanism before being returned to the ground.
Because each of our MCS heat pumps uses renewable energy, if you choose to have one installed you may become eligible for government financial incentives such as the Renewable Heat Incentive (RHI),. Heat Pumps do require electricity to operate However, the electricity is used very efficiently and heat pumps generate substantially more heat energy than they use in order to operate.
