Our heat pumps provide both hot water and space heating, the latter via your wet central heating system. There are two types of heat pump systems that we offer in Camberley. Both use similar technology however there are a few differences:

Air source heat pumps use similar technology to that of a household refrigerator, but in reverse. They extract heat from the air, drawing it in with a fan in the unit which is placed outside your home, and generate hot water to be circulated around your home’s underfloor heating or radiators.

Ground source heat pumps extract heat from the ground via pipes through which fluid circulates. We will install the pipes so that they are laid either vertically in boreholes or horizontally in trenches. We also install ‘open loop’ ground source heat pumps, which pump out ground water and pass it through a heat exchanger before returning it to the ground.

Heat pump systems do use electricity to operate, however the energy is used very efficiently. Heat sourced from the air and ground is renewable and natural, and because only a small amount of electricity is used, these systems have a small carbon footprint and can help to lower your energy bills.
